Introduction to VIPPVisualization in Participatory Programs (VIPP) is a methodology for conducting effective group events which puts people at the center of the process of generating ideas, developing collaborative skills or arriving at collective plans and program designs with vision, creativity and sustainability. It is unique in that it provides a systematic combination of different participatory approaches, which emphasize participants’ involvement through many visualization and group dynamic techniques but is not wedded to one framework or theory. Please refer to https://vipp.wordpress.com to learn more about the history, the philosophy and the community of the practice.Focus of the Training Workshop – To update and improve your visualization, presentation and dialogue skills to enhance communication and decision-making in meetings, planning and training workshops, multi-stakeholder conferences, business meetings and other group events. – To enhance your skills in designing and planning smaller events or larger conferences, employing interactive methods and creative tools of facilitation that will improve the atmosphere, productivity and outcome of the event.’ – To learn how the application of VIPP supports approaches, policies and actions which bring people back to the center, thereby confronting the basic inequities in social development. – To propose, design and commit to future events or action plans that will address burning issues in your context (health, education, social mobilization, gender equity, human centered design, democratic governance, agro-ecological transformation, peace keeping, etc.) – To discuss and integrate other facilitation approaches that support an organizational culture and personal relationships among leadership, management, cross-functional teams or partners, facilitate understanding of differences and enable groups to achieve shared goals.
